EIT 2.0™ LEDCure® Standard — High-Accuracy UV LED Radiometer for Industrial Process Monitoring
The EIT 2.0™ LEDCure® Standard (SAL-B1007 Rev 01.02) is a compact, highly accurate UV LED radiometer designed to provide essential irradiance and energy density measurements for industrial UV curing applications. Engineered with a focus on simplicity and precision, this instrument delivers reliable data directly on-site, allowing operators to monitor source performance and ensure process consistency without the need for complex external software for primary readings.
Technical Performance & Patented Optical Accuracy
-
Total Measured Optic Response (TMOR™): Featuring EIT 2.0’s patented technology, the optics stack is engineered to capture the full spectral output of industrial LEDs. This ensures absolute energy measurements that are consistent across different units and UV sources.
-
Optimized LED Spectral Response: Available in four specific EIT L-Bands (L365, L385, L395, or L405), selected at the time of order. Each band provides a flat response over its range with 4 OD out-of-band blocking to eliminate interference from non-target wavelengths.
-
Wide Dynamic Range: Capable of measuring irradiance from 200 mW/cm² to 40 W/cm² and cumulative energy density from 0 to 250 J/cm², making it suitable for high-intensity LED arrays.
-
Engineered Precision:
-
Accuracy: Typically ±2% or better within the primary range.
-
Repeatability: Typically better than 0.2%, providing the stability required to track subtle changes in UV system output.
-
-
Lambertian Spatial Response: The near-cosine response minimizes measurement errors caused by different source geometries or varying distances from the LED head.
Simplified Operation & Data Visualization
-
Intuitive Interface: A single-button design facilitates power, measurement "Run" modes, and data viewing, making it accessible for floor technicians and engineers alike.
-
High-Contrast OLED Display: Features clear yellow text on a black background for high visibility in industrial environments. The screen displays:
-
Peak Irradiance (W/cm²)
-
Total Energy Density (J/cm²)
-
Low-Resolution Irradiance Profile for immediate visual analysis of the cure cycle.
-
-
User-Selectable Modes:
-
Graph Mode: View the irradiance profile as a function of time directly on the instrument.
-
Reference Mode: Allows a "baseline" run to be stored in memory for instant comparison against current process conditions.
-
-
Selectable Sampling Rates: Adjustable "Smooth" modes provide effective sample rates of 25, 128, or 2048 Hz to match the dynamics of different curing speeds and pulse rates.
Industrial-Grade Design & Reliability
-
Rugged Construction: Encased in a durable aluminum and stainless steel housing (~117 mm x 12.7 mm) designed to withstand the rigors of production environments.
-
Thermal Management: Rated for internal operation between 0–75°C with an audible over-temperature alarm to protect sensitive electronics during high-heat exposures.
-
Field Serviceability: Powered by two user-replaceable AAA alkaline batteries, providing approximately 20 hours of continuous operation with the display active.
-
Traceable Calibration: Each unit is supplied with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate, ensuring compliance with global quality standards.
Core Benefits for Process Control
The LEDCure Standard empowers Blaze Technology teams and process professionals to:
-
Validate Cure Targets: Ensure that irradiance and dose levels meet engineered specifications for specific chemistries.
-
Monitor Source Degradation: Detect intensity drops early to schedule maintenance before product quality is compromised.
-
Ensure Unit-to-Unit Consistency: Use the TMOR™ technology to match performance across multiple production lines or facilities.
The EIT 2.0 LEDCure® Standard provides a professional-grade, "point-of-use" solution for UV LED measurement, combining laboratory-level accuracy with the portability required for modern industrial manufacturing.
