EIT 2.0™ MicroCure® — Ultra-Miniature UV Radiometer for Restricted Space Metrology
The EIT 2.0™ MicroCure® (SAL-B1003 Rev 01.4) is a specialized, microprocessor-based UV sensor designed to provide high-performance quantitative UV measurement in extreme spatial constraints. Engineered for durability and precision, the MicroCure® captures essential irradiance and energy density data in narrow or complex curing environments where traditional radiometers are physically excluded.
Technical Performance and Capabilities
-
UVA Spectral Sensitivity (320–390 nm): Optimized for the dominant wavelengths used in industrial UV curing of adhesives, coatings, and electronic encapsulants.
-
Minimalist Footprint: Measuring just 1.3″ × 0.95″ × 0.25″ (33 × 24.13 × 6.35 mm) and weighing only 0.33 oz (9.4 grams), it navigates tight conveyor gaps and 3D geometries with ease.
-
High-Intensity Dynamic Range: Available in standard and high-power versions, with a suggested UVA range of 10 W (500 mW/cm² to 10 W/cm²) to accommodate modern, high-output lamp systems.
-
Precision Sampling Rate: Features a high-speed internal sampling frequency that ensures accurate peak irradiance capture and total energy integration, even at rapid line speeds.
-
Permanent Data Retention: The onboard microprocessor stores the peak irradiance and total energy density until the unit is reset by the DataReader, ensuring data integrity across the process loop.
Industrial Application and Measurement Control
The MicroCure® system is the definitive solution for establishing traceable UV process windows in applications previously limited to qualitative methods (like "green tape"). It is ideal for:
-
Small Part and Electronic Assembly: Validating cures inside small chambers, nested fixtures, or on high-density PCBs.
-
Container and 3D Curing: Monitoring UV dosage inside bottles, tubes, or on the irregular surfaces of molded plastic components.
-
R&D and Quality Documentation: Providing the empirical data required for Statistical Process Control (SPC)and ISO-mandated quality verification.
By delivering repeatable, objective UV exposure metrics at the exact point of cure, the MicroCure® enables engineers to transition from "set and forget" lamp settings to data-driven process optimization. This compact powerhouse brings professional-grade metrology to the most challenging industrial environments, ensuring consistent cure quality regardless of space limitations.
