EIT 2.0™ MicroCure® & DataReader — Miniature UV Radiometer for Precision Process Validation
The EIT 2.0™ MicroCure® (SAL-B1003 Rev 01.4) is an ultra-compact, microprocessor-based UV radiometer engineered to provide quantitative UV exposure measurement in environments where conventional radiometers cannot fit. Paired with the reusable DataReader, MicroCure delivers objective irradiance and dosage data critical for establishing and verifying cure windows in tight-access industrial UV curing processes.
Technical Performance and Capabilities
-
UVA Spectral Response (320–390 nm): Tailored for broadband UV curing sources common in coatings, inks, adhesives, and small-part manufacturing.
-
Compact Form Factor: At 1.3″ × 0.95″ × 0.25″ (33 × 24.13 × 6.35 mm) and ~0.33 oz, MicroCure fits into narrow conveyor paths, small containers, and three-dimensional objects inaccessible to larger radiometers.
-
Dynamic Operating Range: Suggested UVA ranges include 10 W (500 mW/cm² to 10 W/cm²) for high-intensity curing tasks.
-
High-Speed Sampling: Fast effective sampling captures true process peaks and integrates total energy density, supporting accurate cure verification even at high line speeds.
-
DataReader Integration: The rugged, user-controlled display tool toggles between irradiance (W/cm²) and energy density (J/cm²) with 0.001 resolution, and provides responsive feedback within process cycles.
Industrial Application and Measurement Control
Designed specifically to extend metrology into constrained UV curing scenarios, the MicroCure® system is ideal for:
-
Narrow web and small piece curing where standard radiometers cannot be inserted.
-
Container and irregular shape processes, including bottles, tubes, and three-dimensional fixtures.
-
Process window establishment in quality systems requiring documented UV exposure values.
By delivering repeatable, objective UV exposure metrics at the point of cure, MicroCure empowers engineers with actionable data for process optimization, preventive maintenance, and SPC-aligned quality assurance.
MicroCure® & DataReader deliver industry-grade performance in the smallest available UV radiometer package — enabling precise UV metrology where space, form factor, and access are traditionally limiting factors.
