EIT 2.0™ Power Puck® II Profiler — Four-Band Industrial UV Radiometer with Internal Data Logging & Irradiance Profiling
The EIT 2.0 Power Puck® II Profiler (SAL-B1015 Rev 01.00) is the most advanced portable diagnostic tool in the EIT 2.0 lineup, combining four-band multi-spectral measurement with high-speed internal data logging. Engineered for comprehensive UV system analysis, the Power Puck II Profiler allows operators and engineers to view the detailed irradiance profile (Watts over time) for four UV bands simultaneously, providing a complete digital "fingerprint" of the curing process.
Technical Performance & Profiling Authority
-
Four-Band Multi-Spectral Monitoring: Simultaneously captures and stores data for UVA (320–390 nm), UVB (280–320 nm), UVC (250–260 nm), and UVV (395–445 nm), ensuring no spectral shift or lamp degradation goes unnoticed.
-
Integrated Irradiance Profiling: Unlike standard radiometers, the Profiler version records the irradiance profile (W/cm² over time) for all four bands. This enables the visualization of lamp focus, reflector condition, and side-by-side lamp performance in multi-lamp systems.
-
High-Resolution Data Capture: Displays peak irradiance (W/cm²) and total energy density (J/cm²) for each band, with user-selectable units ranging from µW/cm² to W/cm² for granular engineering precision.
-
Advanced Sampling Dynamics: Adjustable effective sample rates—Smooth ON (25 Hz), Smooth PROFILER (128 Hz), and Smooth OFF (2048 Hz)—allow for the accurate capture of rapid irradiance peaks in high-speed production environments.
Rugged, Field-Ready Engineering
-
Low-Profile Industrial Housing: At ~117 mm diameter × 12.7 mm thick, the unit travels easily through curing conveyors and specialized chambers, reflecting the exact conditions experienced by the cured substrate.
-
Robust Hardware Build: Featuring an aluminum and stainless-steel body with a cosine-approximate spatial response, the Profiler is built to endure the high-heat and high-intensity environments of industrial UV production.
-
On-Board Data Storage: Internal memory stores multiple measurement runs, allowing for "floor-to-desk" data portability. Results can be reviewed on the high-contrast display or transferred for deeper analysis.
-
USB Connectivity & Analysis: Integrated USB interface facilitates seamless transfer of stored profiles to a PC for logging, trending, and forensic process analysis using UV PowerView® Software III.
Solution-Oriented Benefits for UV Process Control
The Power Puck II Profiler provides the ultimate level of quantitative control and diagnostic visibility for complex UV curing systems:
-
Comprehensive System Diagnostics: Analyze the shape of the UV curve for all four bands to identify misaligned reflectors, aged bulbs, or uneven power distribution across the cure zone.
-
Baseline Profiling & Maintenance: Establish a digital "Gold Standard" profile for a new or optimized system, allowing for precise comparison against future runs to detect subtle performance drifts.
-
Process Transparency: Replace single-point data with a complete visual map of the exposure, essential for troubleshooting heat-sensitive processes or complex chemistry requirements.
-
Quality System Compliance: Supports rigorous ISO and quality documentation by providing downloadable, time-stamped evidence of UV intensity and dosage across the entire spectral range.
By combining multi-band metrology with advanced visual profiling, the Power Puck II Profiler empowers engineers to move beyond simple measurement into total process optimization and measurable control.
